Caelo

Know what you can actually photograph from your backyard tonight.

Caelo's Tonight screen on an example night. A green card reads Excellent, usable hours 7 PM to 6 AM, New Moon 1% lit, and Sky: Clear, above a flat row of hourly quality bars and a 7-Day Outlook. Below it, Best on tonight's forecast names an open cluster in Ophiuchus.

Is tonight worth it?

Caelo scores every hour of tonight, moon and cloud both, and says plainly when it isn't worth setting up. The card gives the sky in words like Clear or Clouded out, with an hour-by-hour breakdown a tap away in Conditions detail. This is an example night: new moon, clear forecast, about as good as it gets.
